Technical Consulting & Project Support

An experienced second opinion on the decisions that are expensive to reverse — architecture, vendors, hiring, and scope.

Most costly technical mistakes are decisions, not bugs: the wrong platform, an estimate nobody stress-tested, a vendor contract that quietly locks you in. We work with founders and operations leaders who need someone technical in the room who is not selling them a build. Sometimes that is a two-week engagement and a written recommendation. Sometimes it is standing project support for a team that is one senior person short.

  • Architecture review
  • Technical due diligence
  • Estimation modelling

What you get

  1. 01

    Assessment

A structured review of the system, the team, and the plan — what is working, what is at risk, and what will break first as you grow.

  2. 02

    Written recommendation

Prioritised by cost and consequence, in language a non-technical board can act on, with the reasoning shown rather than asserted.

  3. 03

    Ongoing project support

Scheduled sessions with your team for design review, unblocking, and estimation — the senior voice in the room without a full-time hire.

  4. 04

    Vendor evaluation

Requirements, a scoring matrix, and the questions to ask a supplier that reveal how a proposal will actually behave in year three.

Technical Consulting & Project Support questions

Can we hire you for advice without hiring you to build?

Yes, and a meaningful share of our consulting work ends with us recommending something we would not be the ones to deliver. Advice that only ever concludes 'you should hire us' is not advice, and clients work it out quickly.

How quickly can you assess a project that is already in trouble?

A focused review of a struggling project usually takes one to two weeks: reading the code, interviewing the people doing the work, and testing the plan against the deadline. You get a written recommendation at the end, whether or not we continue together.

Need technical consulting & project support?

Tell us about the project. You will get an honest read on scope and budget before anyone talks about a contract.
